ASTM F1346-91 – Standard for Safety Covers and Labeling Requirements for All Covers for Swimming Pools, Spas and Hot Tubs.
One USA certification requirement is being able to pass the static load test for weight support:
• E2E Covers are designed to hold a weight of at least 485lbs (the estimated average weight of 2 adults and one child) to permit rescue operation. As required by the ASTM F 1346-91 standard.
• E2E Covers are fully lockable.
NOTE: In Australia the only standard for spa and swim spa covers is that they be lockable, they do not have a weight bearing requirement.
For Customers in Very High Wind Zones
Besides the standard straps and clips, the End2End Cover also has Cyclone Anchor points at each end allowing for the cover to be secured down with ratchet straps.
